Yes, this is ST official original, there is no CD itself. However, we can provide you with a link to download the product information from the web disk. You can look at the pictures of the product introduction, software, etc. to be downloaded from the Internet. The driver is also downloaded from the Internet.

We also don’t know why we don’t have an extra CD to make the operation easier and more convenient for customers. It may not consider these difficulties of users when it launches the product. Not having a CD is very troublesome, sorry, but we can't arrange it, because the original factory does not have it as standard. We stock many sets here, all of which are the same.

In fact, ST-LINK/V2 is subdivided into 2 versions: ST-LINK/V2 and ST-LINK/V2-ISOL. Our company currently supplies ST-LINK/V2, which guarantees 100% brand new original authenticity.

When designing the download circuit, do I need to supply power to ST-LINK?

The normal download of STM8 is connected to the target board through the SWIM interface, and the target board is connected to an external power supply.

However, some customers do not have external power supply on the target board due to design errors or cost-saving reasons during research and development, and normal ST-LINK cannot be downloaded.

The following two points need to be short-circuited. At this time, the downloader can supply power to the target board (it is best to use a fuse to short-circuit, if there is no fuse, it can be short-circuited directly, but make sure that there is no short-circuit inside the target board!)

In keil, the program can be downloaded and run normally, but an error similar to the following appears when debugging?
