Tang Primer 25K is a minuscule core board (23x18mm) designed based on GW5A-LV25MG121,accompanied by a 25K Dock base board that exposes all pins (excluding MIPI high-speed pins).

【INTRODUCTION】

Tang Primer 25K SoM board is a compact, highly integrated FPGA SoM board. It integrates Gowin GW5A-LV25MG121, 64Mbit SPI FLASH, DC-DC power supply, and BTB connector in an area smaller than the $1 coin.

SoM board provides 76 GPIOs, 1 hard-core 4lane MIPI D-PHY, and 3 power outputs. By providing 5V power to the SOM and configuring correctly, you can easily use the SoM.

Tang Primer 25K Dock board is a new generation of modular dock board, equipped with an USB-JTAG debugger, 3 PMOD interfaces, and a 40P pin header interface. You can use the PMOD interface to connect simple modules such as HDMI modules,Gamepad modules, and LED modules. And you can also use the 40P pin header interface to connect more complex modules such as SDRAM modules anddual DVP camera modules.

IDE:

Compared with other FPGA Integrated Development Environ- ment, Gowin IDE install package is less than 200MB, and takes just about 500MB storage for installing, saves the disk space.

And the IDE is really easy to use. It contains only a few options for users, this does not overwhelm beginners. Apart from these, GOWIN IDE is really fast and it can bring a pleasant experience of only 10 seconds to synthesize the pro- gram that you spent 5 minutes writing.

【Pragramming】

Tang Primer 25K has an onboard debugger and does not re-quire an additional debugger for programming.

【ATTENTION】

1. Use the latest versionz1.9.9-beta4 of the educational IDE, otherwise you will not find the chip model for Tang Primer 25K in the software.

2.The FPGA chip on Tang Primer 25K is GW5A-LV25MG121, please select the model correctly in the IDE.

3. Do not use JTAG, MODE, or DONE which are used for con- figuring FPGA. If you really need to use these pins, please check the UG987-1.0.5E_GW5A series of FPGA Products Schematic Manual.pdf for detail.

4. Avoid ESD hitting thePCBA. Release the static electricity from your body before touching the PCBA.

5. The working voltage of each GPIO has been marked in the schematic diagram. Do not let the actual working volt- age of GPIO exceed the rated value, otherwise it will cause permanent damage to the PCBA.

6. When using the PMOD module, please check the pin definition before inserting it.

7. During the power-on process, avoid any liquid or metal from touching the pad of the components on the PCBA. Otherwise, short circuit may cause the PCBA burned.
