Hello, I got this kit and followed the instructions here and other sites about booting from NVME SSD.
I got a 970EVOPlus from Samsung (1TB), and it boots correctly, but after some time, lets say 20 minutes, the Raspberry OS starts slowing down, icons change color, and then suddenly everything stops. I need to restart the whole system. Then, it looks since the circuits are "warm", it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the system to hang.
When I run the system with SD card it works OK for days. The SSD I have used it on other PCs with an USB adapter and see no issue with it.
I read on reddit that there is a cicuit to limit current for this M.2 adapter. Is that correct? What would that limit be? is there a way to augment that limit?
I have connected the red and black harness to supply the 5 V from the Pi5 Connector Adapter (HDMI adapter/Power), to the M.2 adapter.
What is the purpose of the yellow pin connector that states "GND 5V"? Is that to get more power?
The NVME m.2 SSD model is MZ-V7S1T0, 970 EVO Plus, Samsung NVME 1TB. It is rated 3.3V 2.7A DC. That would mean 8.91 W. Is that something that the adapter can handle?
