Issue with volumio python dependencies

I have a volumio image on my rpi5 and i wanted to use this DAC for it, i am having problems with the script, when running sudo ./argon1.sh i get the following error

libpython3.11 : Depends: libpython3.11-stdlib (= 3.11.2-6+deb12u8) but 3.11.2-6+deb12u6 is to be installed
libpython3.11-stdlib : Depends: libpython3.11-minimal (= 3.11.2-6+deb12u6) but 3.11.2-6+deb12u8 is to be installed
python3-libgpiod : Depends: libgpiod2 (= 1.6.3-1+rpi1+b2) but it is not going to be installed
python3.11 : Depends: libpython3.11-stdlib (= 3.11.2-6+deb12u8) but 3.11.2-6+deb12u6 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

I would like to avoid having to fix this by managing the dependencies manually if possible, is there another way to have the module? Volumio has a bunch of I2S drivers, would any of those work?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi, good news — you don't need that script at all. argon1.sh is the installer for the Argon ONE case (fan/power button control), it has nothing to do with this DAC. You can safely ignore those dependency errors.

This audio HAT uses the PCM5122 chip, which is natively supported by the Linux kernel and by Volumio's built-in I2S driver list — exactly as you guessed. No scripts, no packages to install.

Just do this:

Open Volumio web UI → Settings → Playback Options
Turn on I2S DAC
Under DAC Model, select "HiFiBerry DAC Plus" (this HAT is compatible with that driver — same PCM5122 chip)
Save and reboot

After reboot, select the new output device in Playback Options and test. If "HiFiBerry DAC Plus" doesn't work on your image, try "Allo Boss DAC" as an alternative (also pcm512x-based).

Tip: make sure you're on a recent Volumio release with proper Pi 5 support, and that the HAT is seated firmly on the GPIO header.

If there's still no sound after selecting the driver, reply with the output of aplay -l and we'll take it from there.
