A good first step would be to verify the complete I2S clock configuration rather than assuming the MCLK pin itself is faulty. On ESP32-S3, MCLK, BCLK and WS need to be configured consistently with the audio codec; for most standard I2S configurations, MCLK is normally a multiple of the sample rate.

If you're using the 1.28-inch board's audio circuit, I'd also check the exact board revision and schematic/pin mapping before changing GPIOs. Could you post your Arduino I2S initialization code and, ideally, a screenshot of the schematic/pinout you're using? Then it's much easier to see whether MCLK is actually being generated on the expected GPIO or whether the problem is the codec configuration.
