Hey! I had a similar issue when troubleshooting a board a while back. Turns out, for me, it wasn't a hardware problem, but a weird driver conflict. Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling your serial port drivers? It might also be worth checking if the BIOS is correctly detecting the port.
